Piano Lessons Studio Snapshot
Specialize in piano instruction, with guitar and voice lessons also offered. Beginner piano students through advanced are welcome.
- Piano lessons use a classical style approach. Other styles such as pop, country, sacred are integrated into the curriculum when the student is ready.
- Guitar lessons use a folk music approach. Chords, singing, and some note reading are emphasized.
- Voice lessons focus on basic singing skills applied to folk, pop, and classical music styles.
Performance Opportunities
Performances are through studio events and recitals as well as Oregon Music Teachers’ Association (OMTA) recitals, school concerts and competitions. Ensemble playing opportunities are also available.
School Music Programs are recognized as very important to school age piano students. In addition to piano lessons, students are encouraged to participate in School Music Programs as well as Church Music and Community Musical Events.
Former students continue to enjoy music throughout their lives
Present and past school age piano students have been selected to State and National Honor Choirs such as the Oregon All State Choir and Band, All Northwest Choir, District and State Oregon Music Educators’ Association competitions. Several students have been selected as Performing Arts Student of the Month in Lane County.
Students have studied music in college and received music scholarships for college, graduated with music degrees, performed locally, throughout the United States and abroad, and have become music teachers.
Most importantly, former students share music with their families, friends, and enjoy playing piano and singing for themselves.
